Author CarMod creator Nick Carver has made a name for himself with the creation of some of the world’s most impressive car modifications.
The self-taught car mod maker was inspired to start by the need for modern cars to feel as much like modern cars as possible, which meant he started building cars in the 1930s, when he was a child.
“I was bored with the old cars that I had bought as a kid,” Mr Carver said.
“They didn’t look like they were made for racing or for racing on the road, and that was very disheartening.”
He made a career of modifying cars, and his latest project was an ultra-modern and extremely powerful car he built himself in 2011.
“The car is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever built,” he said.
The car, which was made from titanium, carbon fibre and carbon fibre composites, is one the most powerful and powerful cars in history.
“This car is about 50 times the power of the original car that I built,” Mr Carroll said.
Mr Carroll’s car has taken his family on more than 150 road trips and it is powered by an all-wheel drive system and a six-speed manual gearbox.
“It’s a huge engine and I think you could do a lot of damage to the car if you hit it,” he joked.
“There are a lot more things you can do to it than just hit it.”
The car can reach speeds of up to 155 kilometres an hour and it can also drive at over 160 kilometres per hour.
“If you can get the car going really fast, then you can make the car feel like it’s coming out of a track,” he explained.
Mr Carver started building the car in 2012 and in the past four years he has built and tested more than a dozen cars.
“For a couple of years I thought the car was going to be really fun and then I realised it’s not fun to build things that you really like, you just don’t like doing it,” Mr Carney said.
He said he made a point to do his best work in a relaxed environment, as opposed to building cars that would be dangerous to work on.
“You can get into the studio and work really hard, but you don’t want to be in the studio when there’s no traffic,” he added.
“That’s why I’ve decided to go with this car.
It’s really hard to get that car to go faster than 160 kilometres an inch.”
People who go to the track can see it, but they can’t really drive it.
“A year ago Mr Carvin said the car would be ready to go for the Australian Grand Prix, but it has been delayed several times.”
We have to wait for it to be approved by the F1 Commission to be ready for the Melbourne race,” he laughed.”
So we’ve been waiting for a year for it.
