When it comes to car mods, one man is the man.

A car modder in Boston has been given a Guinness World Record for building a car that will “be the first of its kind”.

The Guinness World Records Official Auto and Car Show was held at the Boston Convention Center on Sunday.

John Leavitt, who works as a contractor for a local auto repair shop, started his project in May 2016.

“My goal was to make a car with a bit more power, better brakes, and better suspension.

So I had to go through the process of getting my first car modified to my specifications,” he said.

The new car is an Aston Martin V12 Vantage sports car, built for Mr Leavitter by his own hands.

“I’m very proud of the car,” Mr Leovitt said.

“It’s one of my very favourite cars, it’s a very nice car.”

Its been around since I was six years old and I think I’ve been building cars for about 10 years.

“Mr Leavitted says he is confident that his car will be the first one built to his specifications.”

The car is built for my specification, and I know how to do this,” he added.”

When I build a car, I like to get a bit of time to put the finishing touches, because it’s not like I can just build a new car.

“The car Mr Leivitt builds is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The car will also be able to drive up to 50km/h (30mph) on a road.

Mr Leovits home and workshop are both within walking distance to a petrol station.”

I’m happy to say it’s the first car I’ve built.”
